Join us for an enjoyable day in the area of the Delaware
Water Gap. Locations like the Lackawanna Cutoff, the Paulinskill Viaduct, the
Delaware River Viaduct, the DL&W “Old Road” Bridge, and many other historic
locations in the area. This is the old stomping grounds of the DL&W, the
NYS&W, and the L&NE railroads.
We will meet up at 11:00 am at the Broadway Pub
in the town of Bangor, PA where directions for the layout tours will handed
out. But, before you leave Bangor, be sure to make a stop at the Slate Belt
Heritage Center just down the street. Bangor is in the Slate Belt of
Pennsylvania and there are interesting exhibits on the production of slate in
the area.
In the afternoon, there will be three great
layouts to visit. Tony Koester’s Nickel Plate Road, Ed Suhy’s Santa Fe and
Harold Werthwein”s layout based on the Erie
