One Monday afternoon along the NJT's RVL...

(train sightings on 9-15-08)

would find three golden opportunities to photograph NJT's afternoon westbound trains along the Raritan Valley Line. The first train was NJT 5721 which was slowing to a stop in Lebanon to let one passenger get off around 12:23.

Two hours later would find me standing east of MP 42.2. A more familiar name for this location would be the Ridge Road grade crossing as Train 5725 heads west with its consist in tow. It's next stop will be Whitehouse Station.

Heading back to North Branch Depot finds Train 5729 arriving at 4:06 to allow one passenger to get off. The RVL certainly has some nice photo locations in the waning days of summer...
