Norfolk Southern supports Typhoon Haiyan relief with $50,000 donation to American Red Cross

NORFOLK, VA. – The Norfolk Southern Foundation is committing $50,000 in emergency funding to the American Red Cross to help the Philippines recover from Typhoon Haiyan.

“While the extent of the devastation is still unknown, it’s clear that the people of the Philippines are in dire need of immediate assistance following this catastrophic storm,” said Wick Moorman, Norfolk Southern chief executive officer. “We know the Red Cross will use these funds in the most effective way to alleviate their suffering.”
