Flooding Between Memphis and Sheffield
Storms over the last weekend and into Monday resulted in flooding conditions in many areas of the Southeast, most with only minimal impact on operations. However, operations over Norfolk Southern's line between Memphis, Tennessee, and Sheffield, Alabama, have been discontinued due to flooding near the Tennessee-Mississippi border, west of Corinth. Some trains are being routed around the impacted area but customers with shipments normally moving over this route should expect delays of at least 48 hours.
