Cooper-Bessemer Engineer Dies at 105

Received the following via email.

Now here's a guy who could have told some C-B stories! And, he worked at both the Grove City and Mount Vernon sites during The Glory Days. I wonder what he knew about the GE locomotive engine's development ? We'll now never know. What would you have given to have sat with him for a few hours with a digital recorder and a list of questions? I'll bet it would have made Mr. Patrick smile to know that one of the pair of 8-cylinder engines developed six decades ago for the 1954 GE/ERIE RR test set will soon be safe in a new museum home in North East, PA.

See our post on Friday, March 08, 2013 about the above mentioned 8-cylinder engines used in a set of test locomotives.
