Hunterdon County, NJ, is celebrating its tricentennial with different events throughout 2014. Two events involving railroads in the county are listed here with links to the appropriate official web pages.
First is a power point presentation about the fascinating history of the Trains, Train Stations and Railroads of Hunterdon on Wednesday evening September 10, 2014. This is free, but you must register beforehand. Details at:

Second is a train ride on the Black River & Western Railroad from Flemington to Ringoes and return. This extended trip (approx. 4 1/2 hours) will include lunch and entertainment at Ringoes. Date is Saturday, September 13, 2014. Reservation are required and the cost is $15 per adult, $10 for children aged 6 to 17, and free for children 5 and under. Details at:
