The New York
Society of Model Engineers will be hosting a
Presentation / Symposium covering Railroad Operations.
The Symposium will begin
with a digital slide presentation on rail operations presented by noted rail
historian Rich Taylor and retired New Jersey Transit Trainmaster Jim
Mardiguian.
This will be followed by
an open discussion on railroad operations.
We are expecting at
least five active and retired professional railroaders who will discuss real
life rail operations with a historic leaning and a little bit of
humor.
Questions from the
audience are expected and welcomed.
This is planned to be a
real learning experience on railroads and their operation.

mile from the Meadowlands Sports Complex and Giants Stadium.
Founded in the early
part of the 20th. Century and incorporated in 1926, the New York Society of
Model Engineers is the oldest model railroad club in the United States and
possibly the world. Located within our 5,000 square foot building are two large
model train layouts, "HO" and "O" scale, a fully equipped machine shop and large
library. The Society is located at 341 Hoboken Road , Carlstadt , NJ less then 1
mile from Giants Stadium.
Membership is
open to anyone with an interest in model trains or just trains.
