Was out in Phillipsburg (NJ) Thursday morning to photograph NS's H76, a Allentown to Portland local. As it slowly crossed the Delaware River I could make out a trace of blue on the lead diesel through the foliage. Hmmm... could that be NS's 4000 or 4001 leading? It was definitely a nice surprise to see its leader as the CR heritage unit with NS 7614, UP 5837 and a very long consist moving slowly towards South Main Street / Northampton Intersection in P'burg. I was also hoping to see if the three RBB&B coaches were in the consist as they are destined to go to the Erie Lackawanna Dining Car Society in Scranton. Alas those cars were not on this day's local.
