On Saturday I got the word that two of the three guys purchased by the Erie Lackawanna Dining Car Society would be in the consist of H76, a Allentown to Portland local. Motive power this day was NS 5621, NS 5637, NS 3068, NS 5620 and NS 5664. Seeing that the weather would cooperate with my plans to photograph these cars I was off to my first stop in Phillipsburg (NJ). Three cars from the end was RBBX 40006 followed by 42010. RBBX's 42010 heritage shows it was built in 1950 by Pullman in 1950. It would later see service as UPRR 5419, a forty-four seat coach. It was photographed heading on to NS's Portland Secondary. Next stop for me would be Bangor (PA) where RBBX 40006 would be photographed passing through the Erdman Street grade crossing. This view was obtained by climbing up two flight's of stairs to photograph it from an elevated location with the owner's permission I might add. RBBX 40006 was built in 1953 by the American Car & Foundry Company. RBB&B would purchase what was originally UPRR 5459, a forty-four seat coach, in 1972. Once they reached Portland (PA), the DL's five Alcos were charge of a consist that would find these two coaches going to their new home in Scranton. They are seen passing by the former DL&W station.
