The Foundation, Norfolk Southern’s charitable giving arm, will give $50,000 to the American Red Cross and $50,000 to the Houston Food Bank. The Foundation will match employee donations to the American Red Cross and Feeding America food banks, including the Houston Food Bank, for relief efforts.

“Our hearts go out to the thousands of families and individuals whose lives have been upended by the devastation wrought by Hurricane Harvey,” said Norfolk Southern CEO James A. Squires. “We believe it’s important for corporate America to step up and support the people of Houston and surrounding areas in this time of need.
